4th of July Camping Trip

We decided to go camping over the 4th with my sister Michelle and her family, then my mom, dad and Grandma. We decided to leave on Thursday head to Soapstone set up the trailers and then go to the Oakley Rodeo that night, then the rest of the weekend just hang out and have some fun with cousins and family, and of course riding the 4-wheeler. Well we started out and we headed towards Morgan and the truck started to have some problems so we pulled off the off ramp into Morgan and that is where all the fun started. We got off the freeway and we noticed that we were smoking out the tail pipe. Well this was not just a little smoke this was a ton of black smoke and then a ton of white smoke. Well along with all of this smoke we had no power to drive the truck. We fortunately right by a ford dealership and so I had to get out of the truck and stop traffic getting on to the freeway, because we with our truck, with the 4-wheeler on the back and the trailer were blocking the on ramp. Well needless to say we made it over to the dealership and well when we got there and all the smoke coming out of the truck they knew immediately what was wrong. We apparentely blew a head gasket, and something else major that the dealership still has our truck and we could possibily be getting a whole new engine. Well as you can probably guess we didn't make it on our camping trip. We had to call Jon's sister and her husband to come pick up our trailer for us. We did make it to the rodeo, we rented a car and I was glad because the kids were at least happy about that. It turned out to be quite the weekend, one that we will always remember!

Memorial Day Camping

This was one of the best camping trips that we have been on so far. The kids did excellent and all played together nicely. We had a great camping spot, that Ricky found for us in the dark, and last but not least the weather was absolutely perfect. All and all it was a great camping trip.

We took Jake for his first four wheeler ride, and he loved it. Every morning we would walk out of the trailer and he would point at the 4-wheeler and start to grunt.
These two are the best of friends now, they had so much fun together. Our camp was right up next to some rocky hills and these two boys would take their cars and go up on the hill and play. On Saturday it would rain off and on and these crazy boys would just put there hoods on and stay out and play. So cute together.
This is the only way to camp I have decided. I grew up tenting it all the time, but since we got the trailer, this is the only way to go.
Jon with 3 of the kids climbing all over the "Goblins" at Goblin Valley, the kids had a great time playing there.
Bailee holding up one of the "Goblins" she loved to see how high she could climb. She is out little adventurous one.

Kenadee is our more cautious one, like her mother, she loved to climb some and play in the dirt.

The boys taken a break from chasing each other around the place. The one in the hood is my nephew Hunter.

Stupid moments in life!

Well it was one of those moments in your life that you wish more than anything that you could just rewind and start over. Saturday morning I was running to Sams club to get some stuff for Jake's first birthday party (yes we finally did it) anyway I took the truck, which for those that haven't seen Jon's truck it is huge, four door and long bed. So anyway I was trying to be so careful because I have a hard time backing out of parking lots, so I went to Sams Club at around 8:30am and was pulling into the parking lot trying to be soooo careful and I go farther down the parking lot so that there wouldn't be a lot of cars around me and what do I do? Oh let me tell you! I ran into a light pole, and totally smashed up the front of our truck. I could not believe what I just did, I starting shaking and I got out of the truck and looked at the front and I totally broke down. I cried and cried all day on Saturday. I was so afraid of what Jon would say, but I should have known that I married an amazing man, I called him from Sam's Club and he said that it was a big deal. Well when I get home and walk in the door I am hysterically bawling and he justs holds me and tells me that it is just a truck and I need to just let it go. He is awesome, I know that I have got the best husband in the world, love him to death!

Keepin' Busy

Well we have stayed busy, the girls (Bailee & Kenadee) have each started playing t-ball, they have games every Monday & Wednesday. Jon also plays softball on Monday nights so we go from one ball park to the other. While the kids are in school we don't go to the late games, but school is out soon. Tuesday Jon and I spent the first part of the day at Primary Childrens Hospital with Jake out youngest who got to get tubes. He did pretty well, the only time he wasn't happy was as it got later in the morning he started to get mad because he hadn't eaten since the night before. We had to be at the hospital at 7:15am and the doctor didn't do his surgery until 9:30am we didn't leave until 10:45am. He was mad and thirsty and very very hungry. We got to my mom's to pick up the other kids and he wouldn't stop drinking or eating. He is our little trooper, he was born premature and still he doesn't care. He is 13 months old and is already starting to walk. Which for a baby born on time not a big deal, but the doctors told us that he would be behind developly until around 2. He doesn't think so, he tries and keeps trying until he gets what he wants. I love watching them learn new things. Also tonight we had preschool graduation, can't believe that I will have two kids in the elementary crazy stuff. Well I am tired already tonight, so this will be all for now.

Crazy Days

I am not very good at getting blogs posted, 1-well because honestly, I just forget; 2-we are probably the only family in America who doesn't have the internet at home; 3-I am only able to get on when my husband is home, and his computer is free; 4-last but not least is that sometimes days go by before I really realize that they are gone. Do you ever get so busy that there is no time to really stop and smell the roses, but then you look back over your week or even a few days and can't remember what kept you so busy? It happens to me all the time, maybe it is cause I am getting old, or that my mind is gone after having four children, well whatever it is, that is my excuse for not posting. Well here are the WICKED pictures that I said forever go were coming-hope you enjoy.First night at the show. We were all so excited, we could hardly control ourselves. I cannot explain the excitement that I felt.

This is all of us at Universal Studios, this was a little embarrassing. It was kind of cold that day and we decided to go on the Jurassic Park Ride and it was a water ride. My grandma didn't want to get her hair wet, so lo and behold she pulls a garbage bag out of her pocket and puts it over her head. The second time around, we (my sister & I) wouldn't let her put it on her head, there were people sitting behind us this time.

We ate a lot of good food, our hotel was about 3 blocks from the Hollywood-Highland center which had a lot of different restaurants and shopping. It was also hooked to the Kodak Theatre and the Walk of Fame (which I didn't think that it was all that it was cracked up to be, there were so many people trying to sell you things). We ate a lot but thanks to my tiny, can eat anything sister (whose jealous, can you tell me) I didn't gain a pound, she walks and the rest of us had to practically run to keep up.

Just a different view of the theatre, with me and my sister Michelle.

Nice face, what in the world was I doing. That is my Grandma and my mom, this is right across the street from the theatre.

We asked somebody that was walking by to take this picture of all of us. He wasn't very good that is why it is all blurry.

As you can tell we are at the entrance to Universal Studios. It was actually quite cold that day. We were all hoping for good weather so that we could wear our capris and sandals, but not this day.

We were sitting at a little eating area trying to find a phone number so that we could call the Pantages Theatre to get tickets but we never could find the right number. So we did all that we wanted to do at Universal and then headed right to the theatre and we were lucky enough to be able to get amazing tickets for Saturday night's show. I am so glad that we were able to see it twice.
